With the arrival of almost 4,870 new vehicles, the Japanese carmaker and the management team, as well as the workers, started up operations in Mexico this month with the new commercial operations.
Mitsubishi Motors de México officially started operations in Mexico, as part of the Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi alliance, and plans to market 24,000 units in the first fiscal year of its new era. For the past year, the automotive firm focused on developing vehicle logistics from the ports of Nagoya in Japan and Laem Chabang in Thailand, to the Port of Mazatlan, where the first 4,870 units that will be sold in Mexico arrived, as part of the new stage of the shipowner, to stop being part of the FCA Group.
To do this, Mitsubishi created a VPC or Vehicle Processing Center located in the City of Aguascalientes, which will allow inventory to be ready to supply the Distribution Network in a timely manner. Likewise, it formed a PDC or Parts Distribution Center in Cuautitlán, State of Mexico, with more than 10,000 square meters dedicated to Mitsubishi, to supply parts and spare parts to the Distributor Network in a timely manner.
In addition, it incorporated three new models that will strengthen the product offering of the brand in the country, such as Eclipse Cross, a medium-sized SUV of attractive design that will be an important player in this growing segment and Mirage G4, a range entry sedan that will offer the best fuel efficiency in the industry. It also came with the new Outlander PHEV, a "Plug-In Electric Vehicle", unique in its segment, which will seek to cover the growing demand for sustainable vehicles in the country.
